Steve Russell!

I would like to introduce now... Someone I can always count on and has a heart bigger than Texas... Mr. Steve Russell.

The Best Disc Jockey in The Low Country....

Currently on 96.9 FM The Wolf.
Be sure to listen to Steve on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.

He is a South Carolina native and a good ole country boy... Good DJs are rare these days.

Here are a few pictures of Steve Russell:

I was acquainted with Steve Russell for the first time, seven years ago... He was working for Sunny 96.9 Softrock. The popular "Drive at Five" was his bit then...

... In May 2002, he left the station and I lost contact with him...
I missed hearing him on the radio and talking to him...

but never forgot Mr. Russell!

A couple of weekends ago, My Brother (Jim) and I were being silly... We called The Wolf radio station and guess who answered? None other than Steve Russell... and I didn't even know it. LOL! I found out later in conversation, it was... in fact... Steve. I couldn't believe it.

No one could ask for a better friend...

God Bless you, Mr. Russell.

Good Ole Country Music

All of us know that Country Music has become something between that of Rock and Pop... You never hear Country like it used to be on the radio. I have noticed that some folks get mad when you don't play all the new stuff. It is not right to put the old stuff on the shelf and forget. Over the next month... I will be posting some old country songs which you can download directly from Media Fire...

Let's keep Country Music playing...

Johnny Horton- North To Alaska

Elton Britt and Patsy Montana- Tennessee Yodel Polka

Patsy Cline- I Can't Help It

Conway Twitty- The Rose

Freddy Fender- Before The Next Teardrop Falls

Patsy Cline- Always

Patsy Cline- Never No More

Patsy Cline- Seven Lonely Days

Patsy Cline- Why Can't He Be You
